How to use the spin wheel
- Type or paste names, one per line. The wheel updates as you type.
- Press Spin the wheel. The pointer at the top shows the winner, which is also announced below the wheel.
- Tick Remove the winner to avoid repeat winners, or open More to draw several winners at once or split everyone into teams.
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. The winner is chosen before the animation starts, using your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues). Rejection sampling removes the small bias a simple remainder would add, so every entry has exactly the same chance. The spin only shows the result; its speed and length never change who wins.

Need groups for a class, office game or tournament? Enter everyone's name, choose the number of teams and press Make teams. Names are shuffled fairly and dealt out so team sizes differ by at most one.

Frequently asked questions
How many names can I add?
From 2 to 200 entries, each up to 80 characters. Above 60 entries the names are no longer printed on the slices, which would be too small to read; your list beside the wheel still shows every name.
Can I give one option a better chance?
Yes. Enter it more than once. Each copy gets its own slice, so an entry listed twice is twice as likely to win.
Can I save or share my wheel?
Use Copy link with this list. The names are stored in the part of the link after #, which browsers do not send to our server. Anyone you give the link to can see the names.
Does it work without internet?
Once the page has loaded, spinning works offline because everything runs in your browser.
Why doesn't the wheel animate for me?
If your device is set to reduce motion, the result appears without the spinning animation, which is easier on people sensitive to motion.
