JSON Schema Validator

Validate JSON instances against JSON Schema Draft 2020-12 locally in your browser with detailed validation errors.

Validate a JSON instance against a JSON Schema Draft 2020-12 schema. Both inputs stay in your browser and are limited to 1 MB each. Remote $ref fetching and the non-standard Ajv $data extension are disabled.

Ready to validate.

What this validator checks

The tool uses the JSON Schema 2020-12 dialect for structural validation, including common assertion keywords such as type, required, numeric/string limits, object properties, arrays and combinators. It reports the instance path, keyword and message for each validation error.

Security and limits

JSON Schema can be supplied by untrusted users, so validation must be resource-bounded. Ebhor limits each editor to 1 MB, caps displayed errors at 50, does not fetch remote schemas, and does not enable Ajv's optional $data extension. No schema or JSON instance is uploaded or stored.

About format validation

Draft 2020-12 treats format primarily as annotation unless an implementation explicitly enables assertion behavior. This first version therefore focuses on core structural validation and does not claim that every format keyword proves real-world existence or semantic validity.
