Well-formedness, not schema validation
This tool checks XML syntax and nesting. It does not validate a DTD, XSD, Relax NG or business rules. W3C XML 1.0 well-formedness is the baseline for the parser workflow.
Formatting note
Pretty formatting normalizes whitespace-only text nodes between elements. That is useful for most configuration/data XML but may be inappropriate when whitespace is semantically significant. The actual non-whitespace text content is preserved.
Security and privacy
The input is never inserted into the page as HTML and no server upload path is used. Output is displayed as plain textarea text.
