PDF Password Protector
Encrypt a PDF locally into an Ebhor password-protected vault file using Web Crypto AES-GCM.
Privacy: the PDF is encrypted locally and is not uploaded. Output is an .ebhor-pdfvault file that can be restored with the Ebhor PDF Unlock tool. It is not a standard Acrobat password PDF.
Limit: one PDF, 100 MB.
Use at least 10 characters and three groups: lowercase, uppercase, numbers, or symbols. Store the password safely; Ebhor cannot recover it.
What this protects
The downloaded vault contains encrypted PDF bytes, file metadata and a random salt/IV. Anyone without the password should not be able to restore the original PDF.
Compatibility
Open the vault with Ebhor PDF Unlock to download the original PDF. Use a desktop PDF editor if you specifically need a standard reader password prompt.
