Fancy Text Generator

Turn text into bold, italic, cursive, gothic, bubble, small caps and other Unicode styles, add name decorations like ꧁ ꧂, and copy them for Instagram, WhatsApp or game names.

0 / 500 charactersStyles apply to A–Z, a–z and 0–9; other characters are kept as they are.
Type something to see it in every style.

Accessibility: screen readers may read styled letters as symbol names or skip them. Use them for decoration, not for important information like names in forms, phone numbers or links.

What is a fancy text generator?

A fancy text generator converts ordinary letters into look-alike Unicode characters, such as 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑐, 𝓬𝓾𝓻𝓼𝓲𝓿𝓮, 𝔤𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔠, ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ and ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘꜱ. They are not fonts: each styled letter is a separate character from the Unicode standard, so the style stays when you paste it into apps that do not let you change fonts.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text. It updates instantly.
  2. Optionally add a decoration such as ꧁ wings ꧂ or ★ stars ★.
  3. Press Copy next to the style you like and paste it into your bio, caption, chat or game profile.

Where can I use stylish text?

Most modern apps display these characters, including Instagram bios and captions, WhatsApp, Facebook, X (Twitter), Telegram, Discord, YouTube comments and many games' display names. Some fields only accept plain letters. Instagram usernames, for example, allow only letters, numbers, periods and underscores, while the display name accepts styled text.

Why do some letters look like boxes?

A box (□) or question mark means the device's font does not include that character. Bold, italic and script styles are widely supported; newer or rarer symbols may not show on older phones. Check how your text looks on the device your audience uses.

Cursive, bold and italic letters in Unicode

Most styles come from the Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block. A few letters, such as italic h (ℎ) and script B, E, F, H, I, L, M, R, e, g, o, were already encoded elsewhere and are left as gaps in that block. This generator uses the correct replacement for each gap, so you never get a missing letter.

Is fancy text accessible?

Not fully. Screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver may spell out each character's name ("mathematical bold capital H…") or skip it. Search engines and in-app search may not match styled words either. Use fancy text for short decorative touches and keep important words in plain text.

Frequently asked questions

Is fancy text a font?

No. It is made of special Unicode characters, so it works where you cannot choose a font. That is also why it can be copied and pasted.

How many characters does styled text use?

Each styled letter is one character, but some apps count characters outside the basic set as two. The counter under each style shows the character count; Instagram bios allow 150.

Can I use it for my Free Fire or BGMI name?

Many players do. Each game has its own length limit and may reject some symbols, so test your name in the game before paying for a rename.

Does it work with Hindi or other languages?

Styles change only the English letters A–Z and digits 0–9. Other scripts and emoji are kept as they are, so you can mix them freely.

Is my text stored?

No. Everything runs in your browser.
